Kabak Kamp Dionysos - A Peaceful Retreat in Nature
Kabak Bay, located between steep cliffs at 800 meters high, is one of the rare geological formations in Turkey with its canyon-shaped natural structure. The valley, ending with a small pebbly beach, is surrounded by high rocks, rivers, and the sea, providing a rich biological diversity. This isolation prevents plant and animal species from migrating to other areas, allowing endemic species to evolve.
Along the 300-meter elevation in Kabak Bay, springs create waterfalls, and at lower levels, the rocky steps allow various plant species to thrive. This environment creates a rich forest ecosystem that hosts over 50,000 individuals and many rare plant and animal species. Many endemic species, like the Jessy Tiger butterflies that gained fame in the Butterfly Valley, live in this area.
